And the success of their interwar craft textile movement altered the gender balance in the craft world in favour of women as creative inventors.?

? If women ruled the world of philanthropic textile enterprises, sometimes with a rod of iron, the most creative end of the hand spinning, dying, weaving, hand block printing and embroidery world was also dominated by women. Like the aristocratic philanthropists many too tended to rely on cheap labour — employing village girls as well as taking on paying gentle women as pupils. But the atmosphere of creativity in these workshops was a good deal more chaotic, improvisatory and joyful. Many of these creative women had trained as painters in London art schools in the first two decades of the century. In a male dominated Edwardian and Georgian art world few women sustained fall successful careers as painters or sculptures. The crafts offered the possibility of greater artistic equality and at broader definition of artistic practice. There were good male/female artistic partnerships (like Therese Lessore and her first husband Bernard Adeney. Eve and William Simons, or Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant) as well as examples of partial obliteration of female talent, Nevertheless the women who achieved the most tended to move sideways from the fine arts into the crafts, many of them into textiles. These women were responsible for bringing together modernism and the crafts, thus transforming the identity of the arts and crafts movement.

Let Me Show You How You Too Can Draw Realistic Pencil Portraits Like A Master With My “Truly” Step-by-Step Guide… And Help You To Achieve Your Dream To Become A Master Pencil Artist– Without Wasting Your Precious Time Going Through Years Of Trials And Errors…

Now, ask yourself these questions:

Have you ever felt stuck? That you weren’t fulfilling your artistic potential?

How long have you been trying to learn to draw portraits like a master, but couldn’t breakthrough your current level of pencil portrait drawing?

Have you been spending most of your time practicing without attaining the results you want?

Have you been looking at some pencil portraits over and over again, wondering how can I draw like that?

Have you kept searching for the right pencil drawing techniques everywhere, but ended up just reading a lot of descriptions that did not help?

Have you thought that the only way to reach a “master level” was with natural talent? Or that only people with an art degree from a university or art school can be artists?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you’ve came to the right place!

ANYONE can learn to draw a realistic pencil portrait regardless of their current talent, skills, and techniques.

And now, read this very carefully…

I believe that you too… will be ABLE to create your own stunning pencil portraits at a “real master level” just like these…

Yes, I’m talking about YOU, creating realistic pencil portraits like a master…and impressing everyone around you, your friends and your family.

In fact, drawing realistic pencil portraits is not as hard as you think once you’ve cracked the code.

Let me explain …

I’ve uncovered three secrets that will let you go on to the next level—the “real master level”—of pencil portrait drawing…

And I’m revealing these secrets to you right now…

The first secret is… Focus on mastering the depiction of every facial feature individually.

The second secret is… Observe the small details in every facial feature.

And lastly, the third secret is…

Learn how to see what others cannot see.

I realized during my long trial-and-error period trying to master pencil portrait drawing that…

Too many people are too busy trying to learn EVERYTHING and not focusing on the few important techniques that you only need for drawing realistic pencil portrait.

I don’t want you to be one of them.

In fact, I want you to be among the few artists who know about these “real master level” secrets.

And now, it’s your turn to go on to the next level of pencil portrait drawing…

The “real master level.”

Introducing…

>>> PLEASE NOTE <<<
Because of the Royal Wedding on the 29th April ( Friday
NAC WILL BE Closed FRIDAY 29th April
Doors Open Again on Saturday 30th April
For Public View till Thursday 12th of May

My aim is to bring a new dimension to textile design, examining various making processes in fabric and fibres. My work is individual and hand crafted. Although I have considered mass production of some designs, as a possible avenue to take, I feel that this would depreciate the essence of individuality in my work.
I undertake commissions for fashion accessories & home furnishings but my real passion is in the creation of textile wall hangings using mixed fibres incorporating traditional needlecraft methods.
For this exhibition I am showing paintings as well as textiles, my aim is to use these as a starting point for future designs in textiles.

testing testing,

I spent a good part of yesterday making sure that all RSS Feeds between my social networking and my textile blogs were linked. Twitter, friend feed, bloglog, google buzz, and my fanpage & Groups in facebook. Its a labourious job, but well worth in the end as this will generate so much more to traffic to my blogs, allowing me to climb into search engines. In my field of textiles and textile art.

there are links to my fan page to the right, Please come and say hello. also if you are a member of any of the other forementioned social networking communities. I would love to see you there to.

I’ve also started to upload some of my old work in the social networking community so that you have an idea of what sort of things have been up to in the textile World. why not go over and see?

I will try to keep my work. In some sort of date order as I’d upload photographs into the community’s. This will allow you to see the progression and the direction that I am aiming for. I like to work in a wide variety of medium, as far as materials are concerned. It seems tho that the sources I draw inspiration from for my work seem to fall into certain categories

I love nature, natural fractals, fractal art. and also iteration of pattern. There is so much to be gained from nature its a constant source of amaisment to me. As for the resons i love fractals, well Chaios is the mathmatics of design and colour combined. I will talk more about this later.
